ADVANTAGES OF BEING A FOOD BLOGGER

Posted on

It’s been three years since I started blogging. It has been an exciting ride. There have been ups and downs. But I’ve loved every moment of it. While still in college, I began blogging. Since June 2017, I have been blogging full-time since graduation. Here are some benefits of being a food blogger for all my readers. In my next blog post, I will also discuss the downsides of being a food blogger to give you a more realistic picture.

1.YOU ARE YOUR BOMB

Your blog is your space, and you are the boss. You have complete control over your blog’s design, content, and other aspects. That creative freedom is extremely satisfying. Your blog will be your baby once you get started blogging. It’s a beautiful feeling to make decisions and implement them. You can grow and build a team. My team is fantastic. I have someone who manages the technical aspects of the website, my CA, and my content writers. It is a credit to myself that I have created something new and built a small team around it. It is worth the effort required to create a blog.

2.YOU CAN MONETIZE IT.

You can make your passion your career by starting a blog. Many Indian food bloggers are successful and have been able to make their blogs more profitable than their regular jobs. Blogging is a legitimate career. There are many ways to make money blogging in today’s digital age. You can use your blog to promote products and make money once you have a large following. When I began working with F&B brands, I was able to monetize my Instagram account and blog. I create digital content, develop recipes and teach workshops. Would you like me to write a separate blog post about blog monetization? Please let me know by commenting below.

3.EVERY DAY IS A NEW DAY

A blog is an adventure. My job as a food blogger means that I am constantly learning new recipes, creating fresh ingredients, and writing about new topics. The possibilities are limitless on the job front. Collaborating with new brands, communicating effectively with people, and creating new campaigns are possible. Blogging allows you to work on different projects and explore new avenues, which is a massive advantage over a traditional job. This ensures that I am never bored.

4.REAL CONNECTIONS ARE MADE

You can connect with thousands of people through your food blog. It also opens you up to the wonderful blogging community. I have had the opportunity to interact with many bloggers beyond the food industry. Through food blogging, I have made many close friends over the years. These people are people I feel connected with because they share my passion for food and work in the same industry.

When I travel, I meet up with as many food bloggers and chefs as possible. Through blogging, I have made two close friends. Amrita from Life Ki Recipe called me her brother because she was a different mother. She comes to Delhi with me, and I stay with her in Bombay whenever I visit. We have workshops, travel, discuss work, and party together. One of my closest blogging friends is Radhika, Sugar n Spice by Radhika. It has been a wonderful experience, from my first workshop to her wedding and helping make world-domination plans. We communicate on the phone for hours every day and meet whenever possible. It’s been a wonderful experience to make friends via blogging.

5.YOU GET TO TRAVEL

Another great advantage to being a food blogger? Your work allows you to travel. For my workshops and events, I began to travel. I did a few seminars in Bombay and fell in love with it. I made many new friends, and Bombay is now my second home. There was also a workshop I conducted for SBI Captial. The workshop was held in Guwahati (Assam). I went to Coorg in April to lead a seminar at Orange County Resort. You’ll be invited to media and familiarity trips as your blog grows. I could travel to Singapore and Indonesia this year through their respective tourism boards. I was also asked by Intercontinental Bali, Narendra Bhawan (Bikaner), and Fairmont in Jaipur.

6.THE PERKS

Bloggers have their perks. Sometimes you are invited to hotels and restaurants for tastings. I rarely go. Some events and parties are also invited to you. As your blog grows, you will receive expensive gifts from brands such as laptops and phones. While you may not be paid for holidays like in other jobs, you can still get paid for the holiday.
